Devon wants all animals from the shelters to be fixed. A good idea but very naive. Who is going to pay for all this. There are so many abandoned animals out there that it's impossible without government intervention. Some shelters will only release an animal if it's been fixed. Once again a good idea but again also naive. How many animals can these shelters afford to get fixed?? Only a small number I am afraid to say. Many of these shelters will no longer take any new animals, there is no room left. "In a large, urban setting "no kill" sheltering simply means that any animals beyond the optimal number that can be humanely cared for are turned away." The system we have in place now is not working, if fact is not even close.
The difference here is that the Guzoo animal farm would rather see the animals in a home over paying to get the animals fixed. Guzoo rehomes more animals then most of the shelters in the province. (the shelters that get the pets fixed that is)
The sad realities of life is that Devon and her wing nuts help out very few animals. But they sure like to point their little finger at everyone else. Devon forces her point of view at anyone who has contact with any animals. Her contribution however is so small as to be not noticeable. "The feel-good" programs achieve little or nothing at all.
