Devon wants all animals from the shelters to be fixed. A good idea but very naive. Who is going to pay for all this. There are so many abandoned animals out there that it's impossible without government intervention. Some shelters will only release an animal if it's been fixed. Once again a good idea but again also naive. How many animals can these shelters afford to get fixed?? Only a small number I am afraid to say. Many of these shelters will no longer take any new animals, there is no room left. "In a large, urban setting "no kill" sheltering simply means that any animals beyond the optimal number that can be humanely cared for are turned away." The system we have in place now is not working, if fact is not even close.
The difference here is that the Guzoo animal farm would rather see the animals in a home over paying to get the animals fixed. Guzoo rehomes more animals then most of the shelters in the province. (the shelters that get the pets fixed that is)
The sad realities of life is that Devon and her wing nuts help out very few animals. But they sure like to point their little finger at everyone else. Devon forces her point of view at anyone who has contact with any animals. Her contribution however is so small as to be not noticeable. "The feel-good" programs achieve little or nothing at all.

The crap is spreading sideways now!!
Once Guzoo came under attack by the extremists, a series of events started to occur. One of these events is the all different people and organizations that also are attacked as a result. Zoocheck, Peta, voice for animals, Devon herself and there is more. As this struggle continues, where is this all going to end?? Is it ever going to end?? Where is the line going to be drawn??
When I look at all the crap on the net about Guzoo, there is little doubt in my mind that these groups are well deserving of all the criticism they are receiving and it's long overdue. Why do the extremists organizations think or believe that they themselves are untouchable?? Do they see themselves as so pure of heart that nobody will criticise them??
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If the extremists organizations don't enjoy being criticised, then they can simply keep quiet. Shut their big mouths as it were. Stop acting like little children who has got their feeling hurt and grow up. It's a big mean world out there...

Why attack Guzoo instead of the other zoos??
A question I have been asked many times. I am ready to answer it now.
Guzoo was seen as the most vulnerable. a rural zoo with little support. The big zoos in Alberta, have access to the media and lawyers. This was seen as too risky for Voice for Animals, they weren't ready for them yet. After they got Guzoo shut down, they would move on to Discovery Wildlife Park. Getting rid of them would be easier as they already would have had an example of why zoos should be closed. (Guzoo)
In Britain, the same thing happened to the rural areas where extremists would attack small animal shelters. This worked real well till the rural areas banded together to fight animal rights extremists. This group is called The Countryside Alliance. This group kicked butt and sent the extremists packing. Today, the countryside alliance is now a force of considerable strength.

What is the point to all this?? I believe all the animal shelters and zoos in the province need to start banding together in order to survive attacks from the extremists. They must start protecting each other. Only as a group can the threat from voice for animals be put back in the toilet where it belongs.
Side note here folks--PETA is using voice for animals to get into Alberta. PETA is beginning to help fund voice for animals.

Animal rights extremists under attack
Animal rights extremists are a funny bunch. To themselves, they believe their thoughts are pure ( ideological purity) , a higher level of existence than the rest of us... Extremists see themselves as guardians of the animal kingdom. It is their job to save us from ourselves, even if we don't want to. We spend so much of our time and energy trying to figure them out when in reality, I am sure that in a lot of cases, they themselves have no idea why they say and do things.
"Voice for animals raises up animals in an attempt to lower humankind." I like how that sounds. Extremists see themselves as victims. No doubt most of the extremists were screwed up as kids too. I see lots of them talk about getting such a rough time in school. (can't imagine why??)
Extremists see their cause as just and righteous and because it's just, they can attack anyone that does not meet their strict ideals. This would include children, religious leaders, politicians and so on. No one is safe from their rantings.
This blog is about what the extremists do when they come under attack from mainstream society. It's then, I believe, you start to see their true nature come forth.
The first reaction from the extremists who come under attack is astonishment. They just can't believe that there is someone out there that is going to argue with them. Extremists are "enlightened", the rest of us are not. For us to see the "light", we must blindly follow their teachings, no questions asked. Now does this sound like a cult or what!!
The second thing I noticed when dealing with them, they love to play the victim. Under attack they revert back to being a child again. I am going to get my lawyer and you are going to be so sorry, why are you doing this?? How can you treat us this way?? What have we done to you??
Extremists don't seem to catch on to the idea that if you attack me, I can attack you. If the extremists don't like to be attacked, they can simply shut their mouths up. Leave the zoos, circus's, and the milk truck to the kids schools alone. If they don't want to shut up, then get your panties pulled up and tough it out. They can be such sissies.

What is a Guzoo??
Animal rights extremists attack Guzoo
The GuZoo Animal Farm is located in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. A family ran country zoo that takes in abandoned animals from all walks of life. Last year Guzoo took in 500 cats and more then 200 dogs. Guzoo has taken in animals from the movie industry, animals from people who can't look after them any more, that's not to mention the guinea pigs, lamas, rabbits and the list goes on. Many of the animals on exhibit are animals that were surrendered to GuZoo, who then provides a place for them to live out the rest of their lives. Guzoo is a drop off center to hundred of unwanted pets each year.
The Guzoo animal farm is privately owned and ran by nice, caring people, receives no tax dollars and has around 400 animals. The admission fees and private donations keep the place running. Kids young and old alike will enjoy an afternoon at the Guzoo. Give yourself at least a few hours as this place is rather large. See the link below.

So what's the big deal here?? Animal rights extremists have now decided that they don't like Guzoo. They have decided that we would all be better off if they could close the Guzoo. I am aware that animal rights extremists do not like the interaction that goes on between animals and people. I also don't like to be told where I can and can not go, this is still a free country last time I looked.
A couple of points to be made here. Where does any animal rights extremists get off telling anyone what to do. If I want my soul saved here then I will let them know. Otherwise...take a hike. Animal rights extremists are desperately trying to reshape the world to fit their own twisted views. They are great in trying to brainwash you into seeing the Guzoo as such a terrible place, as something that doesn't deserve to exist. But are they right?? Maybe it's time for them to push away the prozac and start seeing the world as it really is!!
Their goal is to make sure that the we have absolutely no access to animals, no matter how important they may be for our survival and progress. In contrast, the people who are doing the most to promote animal welfare today are the very ones that the animal rights movement wants to put out of business (Guzoo). Too bad these caring souls don't focus their energy on doing something positive rather than pointing out the negatives of everyone else. What I do find funny is that there is lots of these groups who's sole purpose is discrediting wildlife organizations.
Extremists are intolerent. Extremists are more concerned with other's actions than their own.By reduction..a 'non-extremist' would be tolerent and lead by example.
Robert F. Kennedy wrote: "What is objectionable, what is dangerous about extremists is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents."
